Good morning guys! I know its crazy I’m posting in the morning, but I am excited to share this workout with you today! So if you need a workout to do today—I got you covered!!
Power Cleans are one of my favorite movements we do at GPP. They are a power lifting move and it is great training for the whole body, not to mention the core!
So this is how this workout works:
Warm up with a few light Power Cleans.
Load up to about 80%
When you feel ready, set a timer or watch a clock
POWER CLEAN WITH FRONT SQUAT
Complete one power clean- once it is in the racked position do one front squat.
- You will have to adjust your feet position slightly for the squat.
Repeat. For 2.
Rest. Then when you reach the next minute go again.
During the rest you have time to add weight if you feel like you should!
POWER CLEAN WITH JERK
Complete one power clean and jerk
Think: DIP—DRIVE—DIP
DROP the bar and repeat to get 2 in the minute
POWER CLEAN WITH THRUSTER
Do one power clean from the racked position complete one thruster
Drop the bar and then go for 2.
Again, you may adjust weight throughout the workout if needed!
If you are new to these movements, please watch the videos for instruction and DO NOT go AHAP (As Heavy As Possible) until you are comfortable with the movements!
