Cookie for breakfast??

happy friday!!
Yep, That's how I started my day with a breakfast cookie, While I was making my protein bars yesterday, and had most of my ingredients out I decided to prepare my breakfast treat that I got from Gina. They are so good and quick and easy to make and I must add its quite wonderful to wake up to breakfast already ready for you.

What you need:

1/3 C. Old fashioned oats
1 Tbs. of nut butter (I used almond butter)
1 Scoop of Protein (I used elite vanilla whey)

Then all you have to do is make it your own!
Add whatever you like, I used raspberries, cinnamon & a little grounded flax seed!!

*Add a little milk ( I used almond milk) just enough to soak into the oats. Mix it all together, and put it on a plate.
*Spread it out around the plate and stick it in the fridge overnight.

In the morning, your breakfast will be waiting for you in the fridge :) It will be soft and you eat it with a spoon. It was so good! I think next time I will do chocolate whey with some PB and carob chips.. yum..
Dessert for breakfast.

This morning I hit the gym up for some kick butt body combat! Its my cardio day,  I love kickboxing if you can't tell.. I go at least 3X a week! But I love all workouts, especially by les mills programs , I have been taking the classes for years and two years ago I finally got certified to teach it. They are so much fun and create a great energy in the room.  So there you have it. After I came home, enjoyed my cookie and set off for a run.. I booked it up this baby..

Now, if you are from bountiful, UT you are quite familiar with this street.. or you should be at least.. For those of you who aren't, Chelsea Dr. is STEEEEEEP.. yes that deserves to be dragged out.. I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea to run UP it.. but I did.. Then I ran across my favorite street in all of bountiful.. Bountiful Blvrd..

How could you not love it?

They sure did..

After hauling my butt up the mountain while pushing these two. I was done steady running so I did sprints. 4 sprints, walk for 1 minute.. It was fun cause I would push my babies in front of me then chase after them as fast as I could.  Just another version of BLAST OFF!
It was a good sweat session..

You may even spot a little friend..
(see her?)
By the time I got home, I was starving!
Time for LUNCH:

..Monster Salad..

This salad was SO big. & I wouldn't have it any other way..

Lots of Romaine lettuce
Some spinach
3 peppers (orange, red, & yellow
1/2 fresh garden tomato (thanks gma)
1/2 of a 1/2 of avocado
3 egg whites
8 oz of chicken
1/3 C of fat free cottage
2 tbs of Hummus
calorie free balsamic vinaigrette dressing

Yep, huge.. and I killed it. It has it ALL though, got your greens, veggies galore and HELLOOO protein.

Tonight, We are heading to the UTAH state fair. I'm so excited! I love watching all the people.. yep, I admit it.. I'm a people watcher. HA!  I also love seeing all the animals, and rides and of course the big slide and the Ferris wheel. Not to mention some pretty crazy food..
loves :)

Q. Have you ever started a workout not knowing what you just got yourself into?
I only do this EVERY week. I love the challenge.  Besides, you work harder just to get it over with.

Q. Whats your favorite SALAD toppers?
Mine is grille chicken. What is a salad without a protein.

Q. Now.. who likes to people watch too??
Now, I'm not judgemental.. to everyone there own..but people just fascinate me. I like to think what they do and wonder how they got to where they are today.

  1. Ok, so my question is...if I don't work out right now * :( * then is it still ok and good for me to add powdered protein to stuff I make?
