Hey Everyone!! Today was a great day as well, I could sit outside all day!! So beautiful, don't you think?! I had another killer circuit this morning!

Workout

15 KB swings w/ 40lb
400m Row
Lunges across the room
15 burpees
20 plank rows

4x as fast as possible
This took me 46:32

Came home and hung out with the husband, ate some delicious power oatmeal , and got about the day..
For Lunch, my daddy made me a delicious salmon salad.
8oz of salmon
Lots of greens
Cucumber
Carrots
Celery
Balsamic Viniagrette

Love that man :)

After a busy day of running errands, I came home and made some Protein Bars!! As per request of my old drill team coach, Jamie.. Can you believe she actually used to force me to run..haha! Good Ole High school days.. Anyway. Protein Bars are SO expensive to buy in the store. They can average up to $4 each.. And most of them are not even good. Why waste your money.. Just make your own!

YOU will NEED:

2 Cups of Old fashioned Oats
2 Tbs of Flax (optional)
3 Scoops of Protein (any flavor you want!)
1/4 c. of fresh ground Peanut Butter
4 egg whites
1/4 c. of agave nectar (or honey)
Cinnamon (I love cinnamon so I dump it. Use as much as you like)

Mix all the dry ingredients together
Then all the wet:

appetizing huh?...

Then Mix both together until you have a ball. and place it on a cookie sheet on top of wax paper.
like so..

Then place a piece of wax paper on top and smash it down nice and flat and pull out your rolling pin to make even it out and make it nice and smooth.

TA DA!!

Preheat oven to 350 and place them in the oven for about 20 min. watch them till they get brown around the edges then take them out. Cut around the edges and slice them into bars.. Wrap and save :)

This makes about 9-10 bars depending on how big you cut them.

Making Protein bars is so easy, you can even add carob chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips.  Raspberries, blueberries, nuts. Whatever!!  Make it your own. You will Love it!!

Dinner tonight was a sweet potato with a scoop of hummus and cottage and sprinkled with cinnamon.
i
love
it.

So.. the i phone doesn't not do this justice.. AT all! It really is delicious..

Hope you all had a wonderful day..
I think I'll make a cookie for breakfast tomorrow...
Time to feed the babes and have a snugglefest with Mr. B and watch Dear John..
Have you seen it?

  1. Love love love the idea for protein bars! I plan to try that because we are huge snackers instead of full on meals. P.S. where do you get agave nectar for a resonable price? I haven't found it in any of the grocery stores we've gone to!!! Help!
