Its Goal Time.

I am home from Red Rock! I had a great time and can’t wait to share it with you! I will do an entire re-cap later once I collect my thoughts and the millions of ridiculous pictures that were taken.

Today I want to write about GOALS. Creating them, sharing them and achieving them!

I am a huge goal oriented person. I make goals for me to work for all the time. Short-term and long term. They help me stay motivated and focused on things I want to be better at in my life. I also love the feeling of accomplishment once I attain it.

A goal can be created in any aspect of health- mental, spiritual, emotional, physical, financial or social. I find that most people including myself focus more on physical health goals.Today I am going to make a goal focused more towards my mental health.

First, I want to share my goal with all of you.

My goal is to get my house ORGANIZED!

A clean house helps keep me a little sane.

Confession: I am a “piler.” I love having a clean house but I always start something and never finish it. I make piles in corners, on top of dressers, shelves and in closets of things I need to just put away. My kids closets are full of clothes that don’t even fit them anymore.. think “12 months.. My pantry is a major food hole..and I can barely shut my “junk drawer” or 3... My point is I need to get my crap together.

When I first make a goal, I think it is important to not just write it down but tell someone, in fact, tell everyone! That way they can hold you accountable to get it done. Which is why I decided to share this certain goal with you. I never really thought to really make it a goal cause I figure I’ll get it done eventually.. well, guess what.. its not getting done

Second, I write down the steps I need to take to achieve this goal.

1. Schedule a day for each room in my house and time to go through and de clutter each room.

2. Purchase Tupperware's and hangers to help organize, pantry and closets.

3. Focus on de-cluttering only one room at a time by unplugging- turn off the computer, and my phone.

4. Check out pinterest for ideas on the best way to organize things.

5. Take things I don’t need to plato’s, kid to kid or the DI. Maybe even sell some stuff!

6. Share my progress!

Lastly, I like to give myself a time limit.

I would like to have every room in my house organize by OCT. 1, 2012. I think that is enough time to focus and get it done!

So, there you have it, my new goal and the steps I’m going to take to achieve it!

Question of the day?

What is your health goal? What steps are you going to take to achieve it?a

****YOU have the chance to wins some FITMIXER products if you shoot over here and let them know your goal too!
