granola lovin.

I love granola... enough yes its true. I love it so much because you make it in large quanities.. and you can eat it in large quanities ;)

I got the recipe here.
3/4 cup butter or margarine   i used smart balance butter 1/2 c.
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey  Agave Nectar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
4 1/2 cups granola-type cereal * I got mine in the bulk section, pick the lowest sugar one)
2/3 cup nuts, seeds, coconut (optional)
*i used sliced almonds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds*

in a saucepan melt butter (smart balance), add brown sugar, honey  agave, vanilla and salt, stir until blended. stir in granola and desired nuts/seeds.
put into a well greased 10x15 inch pan (small cookie sheet size). press to make an even layer. bake @400F until browned and bubbly, about 10-15 minutes. cool slightly and cut into bars.

Thanks Julie!!

SOOOO.. a flower headband giveaway is coming.. I decided to hold off after spending a few hours at the post office today. I AM NOT going BACK THERE till after the holidays. It was a mad house that I choose not to deal with till later. So NEW YEARS giveaway it will be!

Breakfast was oats.
Protien shake.. HoT Pro_Co!! love it!.. WARNING.. DO not.. I repeat DO NOT heat up your water in your mixer cup add your protein and put the lid on and SHAKE it. Just don't.. It will EXPLODE! lesson learned

So when you make it

Step one. Heat up water in mug in microwave 1 minute
Step two. Pour into blender
Step three. add protein. chocolate elite gourmet is my fave
Step four. Blend
Step Five pour back into mug.
Step Six enjoy!

I promise.. that if you do that. you will have a perfect cup of healthy hot chocolate. and avoid this...

LUNCH today was a 6 egg white omelet with red and green peppers (christmas?) hehe.. and spinach.
Served with 2 slices of ezeikeil toast. one plain and one with agave nectar.. (I have to have something sweet)

and now Im snacking on a golden crisp with one tbs of Almond butter ;)

In utah, one of my favorite things to do is look at the Christmas lights in temple square. It is the most beautiful place year around. But especially special during the holidays. So many lights to instantly get you in the Christmas Spirit ;) The Mr. and I had some time to go with just the 2 of us. (Pretty sure, this was the first time since the babies were born!!!) and we decided "just us" dates NEED to happen more often!

(still the pic won't flip?!)

The Babes are now 5 months old!! say what?! Honestly where does the time go?

Changing, feeding, playing.. Tummy time.. they are getting SO good at keeping their heads up and trying their darndest to roll over ;)
